The winery Tsantali created a new wine from the red variety Mavroudi. It is the first Greek varietal wine from this ancient variety. The new proposal winery launches the series 'Indigenous Varieties' that will gradually enriched. The wine comes from the vineyards of Maronia in Thrace. The revival of this variety started from Family Tsantali in 1995. It comes from low yield vineyards, not exceeding 800 pounds per acre. The vinification took place at low temperatures and the wine was aged in French barrels 300lt for 6-8 months and the remaining months in the bottle. Displays aromas of ripe red and black fruit, sweet spices, vanilla and herbs. Full in the mouth with medium acidity and soft tannins. Enjoy it with grilled meats, burgers, sausage and cheese varieties.
